Reflection Questions 152-156 On Night

152. Why do you think Elie Wiesel wrote this book?
I think he wrote this book because he wanted to show readers how it was like. And how a lot of people would suffer because they would get separated from there family's and kids had to work at a young age, but he wanted to show his readers how it was like back then, with people suffering.

153. Why do you think he chose Night as its title?
I think he chose Night as its title because everything basically happened at night because when they wake up the next morning there weak and they just don’t want to get up. And so Night really causes the problem for the next morning, but sometimes they would’t even go to sleep they would just work over night. But I think they chose the title Night because in the night they would suffer because they did’t know if they were gonna see one of there friends or family member the next morning, so it was hard for them.

154. How does Elie change as a result of his experiences in the concentration camps?
In the story Elie was always taking care of his father and where ever his dad was he had to be there right there beside him, he would’t want to leave his father at all, not even for a minute. But if he had to because of an order then he would have to leave his father, he did’t want to leave him but he did, because he had to. But he changed a lot when of the men came up to Elie and said that he should’t be taking care of his father , he should be taking care of himself and not to worry about other people but to worry about himself. And so when his father died Elie did’t even cry. So at that point he changed.


155. How does Elie finally come to terms with his ordeal ( what does he finally do?)
Elie starts taking care of himself and he does’t care for anyone but himself. But he not mean to anyone he just gonna take care of himself just like everyone else is doing. And from all the suffering he been threw. He learned how to stand up for himself. He learned a lot of things.


156. Give examples of issues in Night that still arise today and what do you think should be done about genocide.
The thing that still going on today is people getting killed in other country's and they as well are suffering too. I think genocide should be stopped by the U.S going to other country's and try to stop what is happening, because we don’t want children to suffer and other people who live in different countries.

The Diary Of Anne Frank Act II

1. The thing I like best about Anne Frank is that she knows her family in danger but she acts like her family not in danger, by having fun,goofing around, and a lot of different fun stuff. I would like having her as a friend because she the type of friend that would cheer you up when ever your disappointed.
2.The disturbing news was that when Mr.Kraler came to wish the Franks a new years greeting he said that a guy was looking at Mr. frank bookcase and that he could have sworn he there was a door that lead to the loft.
2b. The hint that they give in the ending of the play is when the guy tells the police that he found Jews in a apartment and it was the same guy that wanted more money from Mr.Kraler.
3. The time span of act II is when they barley had time with each other.
3b. the charcthers changed since act I because some of them became brave, and they weren’t scared anymore.
3c. Anne has changed a lot because act I she was being rude to her family and friends but then she started becoming nice by getting everyone gifts for Hanukkah.
4. She means even tho she in that bad situation she knows that there is good people out there.
4b. Mr. Frank meant that Anne believes in nothing real because she saying there good people out there, and he basically saying “no there is no one nice in the world,no one is good at the heart”.
5. When Mr. van Daan stole the food that was a effect because it effect the family because they have to eat not just him.
5b. when she wanted the van Daan’s to leave that was because she thought if they stayed then he was just gonna keep taking the food.
6. Peters mom had a attitude with Anne because she didn’t want Anne and Peter to get into a relationship at that moment.
7. The three are that its bad for the family to trust anyone, they could never go outside or in the basement, and they had to keep the food safe for them.
8.Mr. van Daan takes the food from them, he took it because he was really hungry.Meip bought flowers and cake, she bought for new years because they always have it on new years. Peter van Daan bought his cat because he didn’t want to leave it behind. But soon he had to let it go because the cat kept eating their food.
9. If they would tell the cops then they would probably get in a award for finding Jews, that’s probably why the tieft went and to go tell the police.

The Diary Of Anne Frank Act 1

1.I think the hardest rule for me to follow would be when you can’t go outside and play, because kids want to have fun, not be stuck in a house doing nothing.
2. The objects that Mr. Frank finds in the secret room is Anne diary.
2b. The diary connects with the rest of the act because, in the story Anne is always writing in her diary, and in the story she always writing down how she feels, she always writing down what everyone is doing, only because she can’t come out of the house, so her diary is like her friend because she could write anything she wants in it.
3.Hanukkah is a very special meaning to the family because it’s a time when they all come together as a family.
3b. When Anne bring the present it shows that she really cares for her family and she wants to show them that she can be nice too.
3c. They act enthusiasm about there present because there happy that they got a gift on Hanukkah, because they thought they weren’t gonna get anything at all.
4. She proves that its true because she always writing in her diary about how she feels so she basically saying people can’t just block your mind out , your mind is your mind only and no one else.
5. They had to go into hiding because they found out the Nazis were coming, because they got a ride.
5b. It effects their daily life because they can’t go outside anymore to have fun and they even can’t going the basement to get a pencil that Anne wanted.
6. The Nazis want the Jews to wear the star of David because this way they could tell if they are Jews or not.
6b.i think that it effects the Jews by then having to suffer from the war, and they weren’t treated with respect.
7. Anne is nice to everyone in her family and she nice to her friends. Anne is always putting her feelings in her diary. She always wants to go outside but she can’t.Her and her family are hiding from the green police because they don’t want to get caught.

1. The first thing I learned about the Holocaust, is that they would have a death march for Allied liberation of large numbers of prisoners.


2. The second thing I learned was about the killing center, they would kill gassing workers.

7. I learned that 42 jews had been killed and 50 jews got hurt, becuase the people who were attacking them, heard a rumor that wasn't true.

10. I learned that baby would get killed once they were born.


11. I learned that chilren that were born in the getto, the prisoner would hide them so nothing would happen to them.

Hansel and Gretel

Tell this story through any of the characters eyes.( mother,father,Hansel,Gretel,old woman)

Father: It was the morning, my wife was tell me that we didn't have a enough food for me and her and that the children were taking all the food away from us. she tells me that we should send the kids to the forest but I don't want to do that. I think she doesn't like my kids, some times I don't like her. She always bugging the kids around. I hate that it so much, but its my fault too because i never tell her to be nice to them.

We took the children into the woods, I really didn't want to do but I had no choice, if I didn't do it the my wife would be mad at me. I saw the kids faces, they were sad and confused. I felt so sorry for them. My wife made the fire and told them to go to sleep. She told them we were gonna go cut some woods. We did that, but then we went back home and left the kids all alone. I saw the moon rise. And then I heard my wife shriek. I went by the door because that's were she was. And there I saw my two kids I was so happy to see them back. I didn't know what to say but give them a big hug.

But my wife took them back to the woods again. I was so mad but it was my fault again because i didn't even stop her from taking them. She told them the exact same thing. She told them to rest and that she would go fetch them in the morning. but I knew she wasn't. When we went back I waited for the moon to rise because that when Hansel and Gretel came back. Finally it went up. But after while they didn't come. I started to worry. I told my wife. but of course she doesn't care.

So the next day I was planning to kill her, because i didn't want to see her ever again. So when she was outside I took an axe and kill her. I berried her some where far from the house. Once i came back I was on my way back to the house when I heard foot steps behind me. I turned around and I saw my two kids. They ran to me and gave me a big hug, and I gave them an even bigger one. I told them what happen to their step mother. they were happy about that. and from there on. we had a happy life.

Adam's Diary

Saturday- Today is a very normal day for me. I don't do anything really fun but stay in my house the whole day. It gets very boring around here sometimes, because there nothing you could do around here really. I haven't been talking to Eve much. Sometimes she really bothers me, I can't stand her sometimes. But then at other times, she okay. Sometimes I like having her around but then again I don't really want her around,because she just annoying.

Sunday- Eve is emotions doesn't change really fast, like sometimes she'll be happy and then the next thing you know she sad. But Eve she is really beautiful. I don't want to tell her I love her because then she'll get all happy. So I'm gonna keep it a secret for now. I really want to tell her but I have no Idea how I'm gonna tell her. I like sometimes I would tell my self to just say it, but at the same time I can't. And she would never stop talking, I hate that sometimes.

Next week sunday- Eve likes to talk about animals alot. she always talking about them, I mean I like animals to but im not obessed with them. she get really werid sometimes. but I have to tell her my secrect now. its getting to hard.

Wednesday- Me and Eve are becoming better friends now. she not anooying anymore. which is good. Soon I'm gonna tell her the secret, or at least I'll try to tell her. I really do want to so bad. We hanging out all the time now. she actually improving, finally

Thursday- OK. never mind. she been acting werid again I don't know whats her problem maybe I shouldn't tell her how I feel, becuase I don't know one day she doesn't talk at all which is good but sometimes boring, and at other times she just doesn't stop talking. So I'm just gonna leave her alone for a while.

sunday- Its getting a lot better now, she told me that she was gonna get me some apples, that was nice of her but she didn't have to do it. I don't even like apples so she didn't have to.

one day I'll tell her I love her. but not now.

Fable

The Bad Cat.

There once was a Cat named Killer. Killer was a very bad cat who didn't like to listen to its owner. One day Killer was just walking in the back yard, he didn't know what to do because he was so board. None of the other cats like him because of his attitudes. But he saw one cat stuck in a fence. and the cat said. " Hi,I'm Winky can you please help me get out of this fences." and Killer said. " No. you got your self in there, you could get yourself out of there." And Killer just walked away. But the next day Killer was board again so he decided to go to the front of the house,to walk. So he went down the stairs and he went threw the fence,but he notice he couldn't get out. And that's when he saw Winky. " Hey Winky remember me,um..... can you get me out of here. And Winky mimicked. No,you got yourself in there, you can get your self out of there." And Killer just stayed in the fence.Stuck.
